FS: 98 Volkswagon Passat 5sp Broken

Hey guys I am having transmission problems with my Passat.
Its a black 98 1.8t 5sp 111,000miles
It won’t engage the transmission. So a test drive is out of the question.
I should have an estimate on Monday for the damage.
I do not have any pics as of now.
I am asking $2000.00 for it as is.

what do you mean it will not engage the transmission?

This may be as simple as a broken clutch line.

Will it go in gear when the car is off?

I just talked to my mechanic and he will be able to check it out tuesday. So i will post that up later

No cables in this car. 2 rods.
For what it’s worth, I’m also interested in it.

Ok I just talked with my mechanic. Internal transmission problems. Goes into 1st and 2nd but nothing else. It would have to go to a tranny shop. If anyone wants it let me know 706-9590 (Steve). The car also has an exhaust leak, and needs a radio.
