To be perfectly honest with you, if the car will never see anything more than the stock turbo and stock tune, a little kiss on the pistons are not going to really cause much of a problem. usually the valve bends in an instant and takes the brunt of energy instead of the piston. Long story short, I have 2 cheap customets not want to do a bottom end or swap, just a rebuilt head and belt kit. on a 160K and 190K motor respectivly, they are both running still today. They are daily drivers and not getting beat on and are stock tuned. Of course offer the “just so you know” disclaimer but its not 100% nessesary in my opinion to replace the pistons or entire motor. Like I said if it were an on the fence or “cost cutting” customer, this is an option.
