any reason for it to not work on an s13 sr?

filters, and filter housings differ from s13 -s14…so unless u had an s14 filter housing, and wanted to use s14 sr filters it wouldnt work…but it can work easily doing the above.

just out of curiosity, what is the main benefit of relocating the oil filter? is it for connecting a oil cooler?

Easier to change your oil.

oil cooler, oil pressure gauge fittings, much easier oil changes …main reasons i guess.
