Both frame rails are supposed to be like that. Regardless an accident that would have done that much damage to that portion of the frame would have demolished the car…you can see in person that the lines and gaps are near perfect…i say Near perfect because every line is hardly still perfect after so many years. I havnt seen too many people post pics almost directly under their car to show the beauty. Take a look under your car the next time your under there. Other than that along the entire portion of the frame rail you can see where its been jacked up and the frame rail has not collapsed like a number of 240s. Its only 10-12 gauge sheet metal . This is a very strong frame.
Your car looks clean, I’m also in Mississauga and considering it. Can you tell me what it needs to certify, and when it was last insured/plated/driven daily?
1600 OBO…I held the car and didnt allow 2 guys wanting to view the car to come see it because it was spoken for. The buyer fell threw :x …I could really use the money at this point in time…I will not accept lowballs. You can get a rustless shell for around a grand if your lucky…yet alone you can have a car with a excellent frame and perfectly working drivetrain that will get you around for time to come with no problems. Ill also throw in the short shifter and the parts needed for a clutch job which this car could use 6 months down the road.
416-904-1031 Please leave a message if i cant answer and leave me with your name and contact number.
I just sent you a pm and will probably call later about comign to see it tommorow. But i also wanted to know what it will take to certify and what it will take to pass saftey and e-test…
someone grab this! 1600 for a fairly clean chassis, you wont come by a deal like this again anytime soon. if i hadnt already bought one this would be mine… Free bump
problem is, i really want this car, but i need something driveable for a few years, with maybe a ka swap inbetween, but for atleats a year or two…will this last?
Verry difficult queston to answer…If you maintain the car im very certian it will last for time to come. Along the way you are going to have issues wether it be a starter motor, thermostat or what ever i cant predict everything. It depends on how you drive the car as well and how many kms your putting on the car a year. Your not going to have any major problems with this car if you maintain it properly. This is a great car, even better for a amazing track car because of the excellent frame. Perfect car for a SR imo…if i had the money to get me out of my dept id be holding onto this car. I dont want to have to find another car if i ever decide im doing a project 240…I got lucky when i got this one and saw the frame. When people come see the car and dont get on their hands and knees it makes me sad…either they dont know what their supposed to be looking for…or they just want to drift
See im coming to look at it today, and ive seen that the frame is excellent, i ahve no doubt that this car would be perfect for an sr swap, but i think the first thing i would do as son as anythign blows on the drivetrain, i think i will do a ka swap with a newer ka…because i cant afford an sr right now, perhaps in the future. Doing a DOHC to DOHC conversion should be a snap with the right people and tools. How much do you think a ka swap would cost in total including labor and the engine itself?
sohc and dohc ka… almost same -___- dont bother wasting the money if this engine runs… pointless swap imo… unless u plan to mod the ka… dont swap something thats working
yes…only if the ka turns to shit…after a certain amount of time will i switch to a newer maybe s14 ka24… i woudlnt really plan on modding a ka…its too heavy imo. I would rather go with an sr because tis lighter, more parts r available, and it works out to be the same amount to make a ka-t, so yea…
^^^^^I swear you came to me with 1400 which i wouldnt take for the car and commented numerious times when i took you for a drive in it on how its in far better shape than your 240 that you sold a while back. I can clearly see that yes it has had body work mainly on the hatch and 1/4 panels. You seemed like a very nyce guy upfront…now threw a screen u sh!it on me? Thanks Bill…
For everyone else wanting to view the car bring a magnet ive got nothing to hide, im very open about the details of the car and im not looking for profit...i simply got this car so i could slowly with my income build it up while i drive my other S13 into the ground...turns out i cant get myself out of dept...im still paying off my 1st car and works being ghey so im not getting any hours.
Sorry guys i was away the 3rd-6th at the cottage. Cars got a new waterpump that i forgot to add. Ive had some decent offers for the car. keep them comming.
I was comparing my headlights to the stock headlights…good pics. Maybe it will inspire you to do something diffrent with my project car when its in your hands.
