Well… I’m not sure why but I am actually thinking I might be at a point where I can get out of the wasting money on cars game
I want to invest in better things – house, etc.
There is many possibilities here, but i’ve got my Daily Driver Civic EX, stupid clean. NO RUST. ANYWHERE. and my 91 MR2 Turbo.
I will sell, or trade my MR2.
The civic doesn’t go unless the MR2 does.
I WANT to trade both my cars for some kind of decent daily car. A4, Scooby, newer/decent honda. I am honestly open to anything, but who knows.
This is a great combo civic is fantastic for daily, MR2 can be a great project, or fun as is.
1991 MR2 Turbo Red T-Tops
Chassis has ~195K on it
Motor has about 3K on a fresh rebuild.
Had about 120K on it previously, nothing was wrong with it, but it was out of the car so did a basic rebuild.
5 SPD - Very good tranny especially for MR2’s (pre-94). You’ll get a small catch in 2nd if you are not used to the tranny. However ask any MR2 owner, you don’t find pre-94’s with a tranny near the condition of mine.
ASA 16" Gunmetal/Polished Lip wheels, pretty light, not sure of the exact weight though
Two’s-R-US Manual Boost Controller @ 10.5 PSI
Custom DP back exhaust, no cat. Sounds mean
Power Locks and Windows
A/C Deleted
The Good:
New within the last 500 Miles:
Dist. Cap + Rotor
Coil
Plugs, Plug wires
New Exhaust
New within the last 3000 Miles:
Timing Belt
Headgasket
Clutch Master Cyl.
Tires: Dunlop FM901’s
The Bad:
Speedo doesnt work, electric sending unit, mechanical cable… needs speed sensor
Drivers Side front shock is blown, I have a new one, not installed
Some minor rust at the bottom of the doors, pretty hard to notice, but could use some work
Ding in the passenger rear 1/4 under the taillight.
Overall body condition is 7/10, but pretty good for a 91, ORIGINAL PAINT
Then:
Bone Stock 1995 Civic EX Coupe Red
Paint is awesome, no Rust, at all.
101,000 miles and change
SOHC VTEC
5 SPD - No grinds, drives absolutely perfect
EX Spoiler
Power everything, locks, windows, sunroof
The Good:
Car needs nothing, it is in amazing shape, no joke one of the cleanest civics I’ve ever seen. I’ve driven it daily for a while now, and its a champ
The Bad:
The car was a theft recovery. I find absolutely nothing wrong with it, anyone is welcome to thouroughly inspect it for any signs of anything. Two small dents on the hood right by the honduh badge, pretty much dont see it, but everyone knows civics need CF hoods anyways. The speedo occasionally drops out, this just started happening like 3 weeks ago, I tried cleaning the connections on the plug, it helped but is still happening from time to time.
Ball Park Price: ~$4,500 for the MR, $3,500 for Civic… or work some kind of trades.
