FS/FT K20 swap or complete 02 civic w k20

I thought it wasnt a type s but unless the info i was reading is incorrect a k20a3 which is a non type s according to them engages vtec @ 2200 rpm? And it says the a2 which isthe type s engages vtec @5800 rpm or something liek that and thats where mine engages so idk…ive tryed to see the engIne code but the motors stuffed in there ill try harder later today…

Is the writing on the valve cover white or red? Also what’s it rev up to? The A3 has a second intake runner or something like that open up at higher rpms that almost sounds like a vtec engagement. If it revs to about 7 grand its an a3 8 thousand something its an a2.
