Got it for a trade on a projector but since I cant use it since it doesn’t have a a serial port (needed for work) so i just fixed it up as a spare project.

I made some repairs so all it needs now is a hard drive and dvd drive. All the connectors work now.

Hard drive, the controller to the hard drive, dvd rom is busted, keyboard is on its way out… according to him, the only thing it that was left working on it was the monitor.

  1. Resoldered the connector on the controller so the port works now. I tested it with a friends laptop hard drive and it works fine now. A ATA hard drive you need to buy.

  2. Tested the DVD by using another dvd drive so it just needs a new one.

  3. Keyboard spacebar and sometimes the bottom row are a little finiky. It works but if you type really fast and only touch the spacebar, it will drive you nuts.

Summary: It ideally needs a keyboard, hard drive, and dvd drive (about 150 in parts).
