I heard you can return things to walmart without a receipt like 3 times on your ID, not sure if its store credit or not though.
i think they would give you store credit without a receipt. if that appeals to you, then go for it. if not, get the credit (issued on a gift card) and sell it on ebay. this would be the best way to recoup your money. glws.
They don’t do camcorder returns w/o receipts.
but yes, you can do 3 items per six months with drivers license.

i have this same camcorder, but in silver and without the touch panel. it’s bad ass and a good deal. the battery life is pretty good for a camera and the 16:9 aspect ratio is cool too. :tup:
