FS: Nikon D40 + 2GB Memory Card + Tripod + Carry Bag + Insurance Policy

I’m still “up in the air” about selling this. I bought this camera about 3 months ago, and have maybe taken 300 pictures with it. (Includes a vacation) I just don’t have the time to use it as much as I would like or thought I would have.

The camera has always been stored in the carrying case. Never dropped or even as so much placed on a table harsly.

I have the original box in brand new shape as well as the receipts.

I’ll get down to the nitty gritty.

You’ll recieve:

  • Nikon D40 Digital SLR Camera w/ Adjustable Strap & LCD Screen Protectant Film
  • Standard 18-55mm lens
  • Tamrac Carrying Case
  • SanDisk Extreme III 2.0 GB memory card (One of the best/fastest memory cards on the market)
  • Memory Card Case and Carry pouch
  • Vangard Tripod w/ built in level
  • All unopened manuals and quick user guide
  • Nikon PictureProject 1.7 (Never opened or used)
  • USB Transfer cable (Never used, or unraveled)
  • All covers to the camera body and lens
  • A book of coupons good for camera accessories from Circuit City.

Most importantly:

  • Circuit City Advantage Protection Plan until 10/09/09.

This covers EVERYTHING. Including accidental damage.
It covers: Funtional Parts, Labor, Product Repair & Replacement, Power Surge Protection, Express Shipping for your New Camera if a claim is made, it is transferrable, comes with a money back guarantee, accidental damage, LCD and Lens Screen Protection. If you drop this camera in a pool, it is covered. If you drop it in the street and bust it, its covered. If it’s stolen…it isn’t.

Now onto the pics:

The manuals, accessories and software has never even been taken out of the box…except to take these pictures.

Now because of the warranty and extras, its tough to set a price. I guess its worth what its worth to the buyer. So there isn’t a set price, but I’ll take reasonable offers.

Here is the tripod:

Thanks!

Price: $600 OBO

i really wish i didnt buy mine already. these are great cameras. i have a d50. glws

GL w/sale. I <3 my D40.

thanks

awesome camera, I have the d40x and love it.

Depending on how much you want, I might be interested in the tripod.

ballpark?

I paid almost $1000 for everything. Make an offer.

$30 for tripod?

I’m not really interested in parting everything out. I’ll probably change my mind tomorrow though and will pm you. lol

You should really post a price… otherwise welcome to lowball town.

Would be a good starter cam for someone to get their feet wet in dSLR… i picked up the D40x, this is similar, minus a few megapixels. features-wise very much the same though

+1 on posting a price. And don’t expect anywhere near 1000 considering I just bought pretty much everything you have there, brand new, for 500 minus the extended warranty. I really doubt it’s a $500 extended warranty.

was going to say that but didn’t want to be “that guy”

so Jay - thanks for being “that guy” :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m not looking for $1000. Original post edited with price!

Yeah, the d40x doesn’t have the ISO range or the shot speed that you can get with the d40.

 good luck with the sale.

D40x has a bigger ISO range, and D40x gets 3.0 fps continuous, D40 is only 2.5 or if you meant shutter speed they are the same??

Was just gonna post this up.

DLucas this is twice you’ve said it didn’t have the iso range & fps, except the iso on my D40x is 100-1600, whereas the D40 I believe is only 200-1600 (given not a huge difference) but at least get your facts right.

Oh yeah glws the D40 is a sweet camera and nice accessories included.

I’m taking offers boys and girls!

u still ahve it in a couple weeks i’ll pick this up for sure
