Long story short, my mechanic / friend had a “DIY” capable customer come in and “blow a gasket” when he quoted him to replace the front brakes on his vehicle. After he decided to “save some money” and try it himself, he ended up taking it to another shop (to save his pride of course) and the repairs for the damage he’d done trying to get off the brake rotors was at least 10 times the original quoted cost of the brake job from my mechanic / friend.
BTW, it was his wife filming who told him he should’ve just taken it to my friend in the first place.
