rowdy day on the tarrif drop.
imho a lot of these stocks needed to get crushed anyways. There will definitely be some nice buys coming up though.

april 9th is when the next round take effect iirc
very interesting.
some of the tech valuations are coming back to reality. I guess it’s just retail that will lose?!
I look at stocks like Shopify, Reddit, Oklo etc. etc. trading at historically absurd multiples even after already pulling back 30-50%.
SNAP is finally trading down around 2x revenues but even that may be a stretch… Reddit still at like 17x revenues which is more reasonable than the 30x+++ it was trading at.
There will likely be some great deals on utilities and commodities too. Seeing stuff that looked reasonable weeks ago that is now down another 20%… yum.
it would be nice if home prices came back to reality too.
Got my annual Town of Lockport appraisal the other day.
Another +62k for 2025 and 14+% increase.
I despise this practice and cannot wait to leave NY.
Although, I’m not actively trying just yet. Still just a whiner.
We’re out of here as soon as I retire. CANNOT wait. Been eyeing up eastern TN for a while now. You can find all sorts of decent houses down there in the 300-400 range, some sitting on their own small lakes, taxes are usually under 1000/year, sales tax is less, car insurance is way less, maybe 1/5th of the bullshit rules and regulations we have here, etc. It’s amazing how well a state can run, when it isn’t burdened by half its population sitting on their ass with their hand out.
I have a coworker that built a house outside Knoxville. He was going to retire, but we are insanely busy, so now he gets to WFH.
I’ve only been to Memphis, Chattanooga, and Pigeon forge and TN is on the list of places we would go. My wife wants to sell our house, kick out our tenant and keep a house in Tonawanda while we build a barndominium in the south..
any of ya’lls looking to jump into UNH sometime soon?
i put ~$15k into some gold stocks last year and up 100%++ and looking for more.
i odnt need a 401k in the US but i use BoA and curious how you guys do small trading accounts over there. BoA doesnt really have a good option nested into the regular banking.
I use Vanguard but I’m less than a year into trading outside of my 401K so I went with a well established platform. I will say Vanguard’s website is antiquated IMO and if you want to make frequent trades and tracking, there are probably better options. Half the time my watchlist on Vanguard won’t even load. It’s also a day behind on the cost basis look at things.
I don’t make daily trades so I just deal with it.
I have a merrill lynch account, but don’t really do anything with it.
Still sitting on way too much cash waiting for a decent anything to come along, but the damn economy just keeps chugging along.
my assessment is all govts printed more than enough money through covid and they’ve got plenty of it set aside to trickle into the economy various ways to keep things from collapsing.
high insitutional ownership of property will help prevent a real estate collapse and they can prop up the stock market in the same way.
this might sound odd, but you guys should maybe look at trading more Canadian stocks. We have a ton of big REITS up here that pay nice dividends and th conversion works in your favor most times.
Gold is going to slowly moon though… JPM called it at $4,500 before end of the year.
$MSTY
The only one you need.
