sears?
I have a craftsman or something in my garage. Kinda came with the house. Never had a problem with it. i have never heard of the brand in the pic though.
sears rubber ones are super quiet and fast and low maintenance.
Just FWI anything that says Sears or Craftsman on it is made by Chamberlin which is sold at lowes and THD. All very good and THD has the better prices over Lowes. Also the Dalton iDrive you have pictured as a Opener for Torsion bar systems only. Not for your normal spring type.
seems like you work in the field or know these things well, if so i’m looking for a installer if interested?
I don’t do the installs i’ve just been a rep for 3yrs. However the installs are a cakewalk. If you can handle nuts and bolts thats all ya need. Even with torsion bar systems now. They have easy safe adjusters now.
Agreed.Garage door installs are verry easy. Helps to have a second person though depending on the size and weight of the door.Mostly because the individual door pannels are alkward to man handle by yoursellf
well pretty much everything is going to be new.
would you recommend one over the other?
The torsion systems are great for heavy apps as well as clearance issues. There’s not too many torsion lifters on the market atm. Most torsion bar setups just use regular openers. The plus to the iDrive is it takes away all the pulleys, cables, springs and anything else related to a regular opener. Less noise, less vibration and more room. Also pretty cost effective as well. Priced competitivly to the high end belt drives. So all in all if they are not gonna rape ya it’s a good lift.
My parent’s use that idrive system and it’s pretty cool. Works good and you don’t have a huge box hanging in the middle of your garage.
