newmen you should see this movie then. 1971 made, they just re-released on DVD we got a copy. Not really a “gasser”, thats more like a whillys before that cars you posted. 1950s hotrod. Thouse would be like “AFX” cars A/FX A class factory experimental witch is a class above superstock, before funny cars were built.
Strait front axle 55 chevy, with a tilt 1 piece fiberglass front end. 454 BBC with a tunnel ram 4sp, Like 5:13 gears on slicks. No wiper, heater, radio, lexan windows, fuel cell. They drove it across the country like that, in the movie. No one has names in the movie, and one of the best lines is.
“Make it three yards, motherfucker, and we’ll have us an automobile race”
