Gay Day crew... so Chino's advice please - What style window covering?

I have two windows I need to cover so I don’t get up at 7am from the sun blasting in my room.

Should I do vertical blinds or some other kind of window shade…

This is really all i know about the subject please help me sleep late

Hrmm I have shades. They are solid material, like some form of plastic almost.

I wouldn’t mind verticals though, so long as they were fitted such that they were within the window frame, and not outside of it (if that makes sense).

One thing I don’t like about mine is the amount of light that comes in through the sides, I always get blasted by a ray of light during the winters

black people. they absorb the light

they can’t absorb anything… look at standardized testing… They steal the light…

Just staple a sheet over the window… the materials are readily available and it won’t cost you anything… plus the girls will love it and claim you are one with feng shui (sp)

ili already

sorry geoff, you are just an innocent casualty this time…

scott can suck it regardless.

God these threads suck today.

so drop some money at lowes… i picked up so good shit for the kids rooms… they are wooden roman blinds… if i had more time i would find it on the website… but its the one that they have like “endcaps” in the store with the fake outside light testing area

What are the window sizes and what is your budget?

One of the divisions of the company I work for is Levolor Window Fashions so I spent some time working with the product. So, no, I am not gay.

i think one is 36" X 24" and the other is 30" X 36" just estimates…

Oh thank you… I don’t want a gay mans advice, no need for pink or what ever homo colors there are, window treatments

Here’s two price conscious options.

  1. Roller Shade Room Darkening $10-20 ish
    -inexpensive
-Can be cut at Lowe’s to proper width

  1. Levolor Cellular Room Darkening shade - $40 ish
-At Lowe’s they can cut them to your width and then you can cut the length at home if you choose.
  • Look nicer than roller shades
-The best insulating blinds on the market

I use these in my house and the bedroom is almost pitch black any time of day.

Price wise it is tough to beat Lowe’s for IN Stock Levolor product. I’m not trying to push you towards Levolor, I just know their product is some of the best out there.

Awesome thanks!

you can get cheap blinds at Home Depot or Lowes man

Are you looking to blackout the room or just don’t want it blaring at you? I find the standard mini-blind to be more than enough and I lived in a room that was in direct sunlight all morning.

No problem.

No matter what you buy, make sure you take proper measurements first.
