Geo Caching? Hikers/outdoors people should check it out

I was at the beach yesterday with some friends drinking a few beers and some older guy showed up with his dogs and he brought this website up. Apparently it’s some kind of worldwide scavenger hunt. He said he’s been into it for the past year or two and has found hundreds of caches around the area and out of town.

To do it, you need a GPS device of some sort, but it sounded pretty intriguing. Figured I’d pass it along and/or see if anyone’s heard about it. Sounds like a good time for an otherwise boring day.
