i’m kinda thinking that now, may truck bogged in the first round and i couldn’t make time up since the sanbagger next to me dialed in atleast a second slower than usual. brian made me an offer on a gen III motor today that i don’t think i can refuse.
Your not goin to be as consistant w/ efi as you would with a carb. If you want injection on a race car you have to go with a Ron’s toliet w/ alky.
why a rons toilet? individual injector (or staged) for each runner (port injection)
not knocking you and carbs. i get into this discussion alot at my garage w/ the old timers and carbs.
imo, i feel efi can do as much as a carb can, and then some. however, the carb gets the nod for initial cost and install.
With a rons setup theres no sensors involved. Just pills kinda like jets in a carb. My car would have run 9.72 5 passes in a row saturday nite if i were not lettin off and on the brakes. I don’t see anyone running Efi in a bracket car and going rounds. Theres nothin gonna beat properly tuned carb in bracket racing, other than a properly tuned alky injection system.
EFI>carbs=pooooooooooop ask phil my butt
What was that big white GMC SUV running. Saw a picture of it on PRP’s website.
