I am at a bar by myself right now. I find it quite relaxing to sit back and have a beer without talking to anyone. I go to this hole in the wall polish bar that has awesome polish food. Even though I go by myself I know all of the regulars so it is not like I am totally alone. However i have been to bars by myself where i have not known anyone.

one of my best friends since the age of 6 is a bartender that i visit every thursday night and recently friday nights as well…thursday nights i usually have company, but even when i dont i still have a good time.

but i dont think that counts as going alone for just a drink…because i’m going to hang out with a friend while she works…

a bar where i know nobody, just for the sake of stopping for a drink…i dont know if i’d enjoy…

Thats one thing that I can never get myself to do. I never understood why I couldnt either because at a movie you just sit there quietly anyways.

I do all the time when I’m traveling. When I’m home I’ll do it too, typically if there is a game on I want to see and Monica doesn’t want to come. Most people are usually friendly and you can find some friends to talk to… if not, watch the TV or something.

If I just want to drink and watch TV though I’ll usually do it at home where i won’t get smokey.

ive done it a few times, but my best friend is the bartender so we just shoot the shit… the other times ive gone i always run into people i know. but the one time i was alone was creepy…

i do like being alone at times to talk to women but i def agree you need a good wingman.

I go to a few bars alone, only because i know the bartenders. I usually start out alone and meet up with friends throughout the evening.
