good deal on s2000?

I can pick up a 2001 s2000 (yellow) with 40K miles for $14,100.

 or :tdwn: ?

not really the best deal, but why not pick it up to beat on.

Also…this is from a dealer…so It’s not private party…which tacks on a few $.

I’d love to buy this…but I hate yellow… and I’m saving for a car for next year.

Decent deal for the time of year. It’s not something I’d go across the country for, but if it’s local and in good condition, sure. Is it CPO? Previous owner a kid or adult? How’s 2nd gear feel? Any noise from the diff? Rear window foggy? Any wear on the top?

if u hate yellow why would u buy a car in a color you hate? epsecially when you know its not a great deal?

imho the st00k looks best in silver, yellow and white.

Also, what tires are on it? How much wear? Maintenance records? Rear axles click or creak on a start?

def white…or black i guess

GPW+Tan sexiest s2k color combo

unles its certified pre owned i say nay

okay… well.

Would you rather pay about 15K for a 40Kmile s2K
or wait till next year and pick up a nice used elise for about $32K

wtf…elise are like mid 20s for an 05 with relatively low miles

Uh, a 2001? No.

2001 = weaker trans, weaker rear end (clicky), no glass rear window with defrost.

2002 - 2004 = yum.

i have a 2002 silver one for sale, 33K miles, new tires, new brakes, Honda warranty for another 3 years / 40K miles.

I’ll even deliver it if you are in buffalo.

Where are you seeing these? I have looked as well on the forums and autotrader etc and haven’t seen them this cheap.

are you talking a salvage title car here

not salvage, but ones with door skin/clam damage, they go for like 20-25 but it will cost $6-8K to fix the damage, its a trade off
