s2000 value?

I’ve been looking at used s2000’s and I’m having a tough time figuring out how much these are actually worth. They are being sold between 9k and 22k and I don’t get it. I never saw such a wide range of asking prices for a car before. What are they REALLY worth?

“More than you can afford pal!”

depends on year and mileage just like other cars…

That’s what I thought at first. For example, I’m looking at a blue one with 60k for 13g but I also found a red one with 50k for 21g. 8g difference for only 10k miles. I’ve never seen such a great variable in used cars before.

could also be ap1 vs 2 or stealership vs private sellers. Just buy an early 2000s for like 9-10k

Go with the ap1. 9k redline vs. ap2 8.3 redline I believe.

you are missing a very important part to the price. What years are they. Blue book the car… usually they sell about 2k more in good shape.

S2000 owners value their cars way TOO much 9/10 times. They think because they aren’t being made that they are worth double what they were 36 months ago. I see some guys asking $25k for a 06 or 07 with 30k+ on it.

A year ago, I know a kid who sold his immaculate 07 S2000 w/ 13,000 miles on it for less than $20k. The deals are out there, you just need to find them. Usually they are from the guys that have come to the reality that they are driving a 10 year old Honda w/ 60k on it.

Must be related to STI sellers.

I know its not double, but that guy could have got over 20k for his 07 if it only had 13,000 miles on it. Props to who ever picked that car up after him.

FACK. I came here to post that lol.

They range a lot, 2 years ago I picked up my 01 with less than 50k for 12k, you get what you pay for though for the most part, supply and demand

It’s a 4 year old honda that was less than $30k brand new… He paid $20,000 for it in 09 with 9k on it.

Most S2000’s are garbage and completely roached. Very, very few clean examples.

One of these might be my next summer fun car

2003 AP1 is the best year. Glass top with 9k rpm.

Ummm you know something I dont? From what I know, people were paying at the time for the ap1 over sticker value to even get one. Funny thing is that these sold for $32k sticker… not sure how they sold under 30k though. You know this for a fact?

And mpg, engine performance, handling, weight, rwd, convertible… Which cars can you get tha compare? I can get up to 28mpg if I drive it normal, yet the car produces 240hp as an 11/12 year old car.

M3 vert boom

Who are we kidding? Neon is gonna get himself in the raw RWD power of an S2K

What people were paying for them 12 years ago, has nothing to do with market value now. As for comparable vehicles, M3 vert, which drives a hell of a lot nicer and has a far better feeling power curve. People who buy a dedicated summer car shouldn’t be worried about MPGs.

$32k - $29k - whatever, who cares. It’s menial.
