Ran into a friend Ben that knows you. He was telling me how his friend just purchased a Triumph…I knew instantly, lol.
This show was a blast, tons of cool bikes.
Ben has some nice CB550’s. Had a MINT 72 CB750, orange, that was all original. Engine was bone dry-as all Japanese bikes are-great chrome, original exhaust that was spotless, sat in a garage for 20+ years. The paint on the top of the tank was faded but no biog deal. He tells me he thought it would have done $2500 on Ebay. I told him if he wanted to sell the bike for $2500 I would go home right now and bring him a check. He didn’t want to sell it for some reason. Couple weeks later he told me that it was going to England as someone in the 750’s owners club from the UK bought it. “Cool, what did you let it go for?” “$2,500.” “

Ha, he told me about that bike and another one as well, also showed me pictures of both. He has a mint green one sitting at his house that he would let go for $2500. Seems to be pretty fair considering I let my super mint CB550F(Super Sport) go for around ~$2800-ish. He has another that is sitting at BSG that is getting some work.
