BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - News 4 has learned that there is an animal emergency at the Buffalo Zoo.
A source at the scene says that people are being told that a gorilla is on the loose.
People at the zoo are being taken into buildings. There are no reports of any injuries at this time.
It appears that zoo officials are trying to secure a gorilla.

One of the zoo keepers is the daughter of a guy I am sitting with. It was a pretty funny phone call. Supposedly the gorilla is contained to an office at the moment.
That’s awesome, just as long as nobody gets hurt.
I guess they got him with a tranquilizer. My customer is sitting here with me who works for the FBI and it just came accross his radio.

FBI seriously gets notified about a gorilla at a City zoo? Interesting.
I’m willing to bet that they weren’t “notified”, but it just came accross his channel on his radio. If swat was involved, I am sure the FBI was aware of what was going on as well.
Assuming it wasn’t this one, because the few times I’ve been there and seen him charge the glass I’m guessing if he ever got out he’d go on a killing rampage.

I was there last weekend for the first time in forever. I spent most of my time observing the gorillas because they are so human like. Weird.
