It acn be done. Remove the plastic cover under teh rear valance and look at what ya got.

Extra weight that removing was the 2nd mod I did behind turning up the bass amp in the trunk 
I dont think I could put a sun shade on my boat.

i’ve wondered aobut pulling my parents boat with my grand am before. I’d be awsome to see a boat hitched behind a gto at a launch lol.
Mind you, having a hitch has been done before - and Holden rates their hitch at 1600 kg from the factory (though the Pontiac manual prohibits it). It’d probably make for a nice motorcycle trailer, but that’s about it.
