I have a Sprint (Sanyo VI-2300) and a Cricket (Motorola SLVR) Phone, Anyone know if you can use these as a GPS Receiver for Mapping software?
You can use them for LBS stuff offered through your provider, but not for GPS, no. You need a SiRFIII receiver – typically a flat, square antenna that flips out or plugs in. However, there may be a separate GPS receiver you can plug in, or pair through Bluetooth, that also supports software that also supports the phone.
