GROUP BUY: Budget Alloy Wheel + Tire Package

Up front I’d like to point out that those waiting for my next “Cheap Wheel and Tire” Group Buy - this is NOT IT

This is something else I’m trying as a bit of an experiment, different supplier, different pricing, etc.

Please be patient and wait, I will likely be posting my next actual “Cheap Wheel and Tire” group buy in a week or so.

This is for Wheel and Tire Packages only - I will not be travelling to the US to pick these up like with my other group buy - they will be shipped directly to me. Depending on interest this group buy should get your wheel and tire package here a lot quicker. (I’m not even sure if anyone is going to get in on this, but I found a wicked deal so I’m willing to try it out)

The reason I’ve posted is that I got a new supplier and they have some really SILLY deals on wheels and tires - I mean seriously, $650 Canadian; tax included, brokerage included, shipping included, mounting and balancing included for lightweight stylish wheels AND good tires mounted and balanced? Silly is the only word I can think of to describe that.

I’ve put together some packages, these packages can be customized to some extent as far as tire sizing and wheel sizing goes but I’m going to draw the line somewhere - I’m not sure where yet

If you want to change something as far as size goes feel free to shoot me a PM and we’ll try to work something out - changing just about anything will affect the price of the package.

All prices include absolutely everything to get it to MY DOOR in Oakville - You need to pick it up from here once it arrives.

30% Deposit required.

Minimum 2 orders for group buy to go through.

EMT preferred, cash drop-off is your alternate option

I’ll probably be adding more wheel/tire packages as I find more good deals - theres a lot to go through.

Just a quick note, the wheels in package #1 are also available in a sexy satin finish with machined lip. It’s a bit more expensive, PM me for a quote if you’re interested. Here is a little pic:

Just another note, I just checked pricing on the same Fuzion tires as above, 195/60/15, they charge $99 per tire. After tax and shipping it comes to $443.

to put this in to perspective, the cheapest 15" alloy wheel that 1010tires.com sells is $119 each and its hideous. mounted, balanced, tax in and shipped with the tires above the total cost for their cheapest wheel and tire package is $956. Go figure

John, can you get anything in 18"? I’m looking for a style similar to the ADR m-sport:

http://www.adrwheels.ca/images/ADR-MSPORT-HMC.jpg

Model: A8275810H43HMS 18x7.5 5x100/114.3 43 H.M.C. Silver
Tire size: 225/40R18 or something similar.

That branching 7 spoke style with the lip is what I’m looking for. If you can get something similar, please PM me with the offset and rim width.

Also, do would they mount the tires stretched? In that case, I may go with a wider width and have the stretched look as I’m going VIP style with my I30.

Thanks, I appreciate it.

Renman: If you want a stretched look I’d suggest going with something wider than 7.5 as if you stretch a tire on such a narrow rim, and on a pretty large car, It’ll just look gay.

Those are pretty awesome deals there Johny boy!

That’s true, I may not go with a super stretched look at all. I may just be happy with flush. We’ll see, plus John and I have been emailing about fitment, style, etc.

+1 for John’s service.

ADR Wheels and VIP should never be in the same sentence. They’re probably the cheapest wheels in existance.

Yeah, I agree, but I like that style, hence my request:

I’m looking for a style similar to the ADR m-sport

There are some other rims that John has sent me pics for, and I think I’ve made my decision.

PS John, great service, you are a boon to the community.
PPS John, I’ve still got my drag rims and tires, see you guys at the strip next year

Thanks!!

Although I do agree that ADR makes a cheap wheel - the term VIP has developed a secondary meaning in reference to a type of STYLE. That considered, I think that regardless of the actual quality of a wheel the term VIP can still fairly be associated with it based on the style as opposed to the actual build quality.

However, since I can’t get ADR wheels they are CRAP AND NOBODY SHOULD BUY THEM

Thankfully renman and I have found some wheels he likes a lot and they are pretty seriously sexy ;] ;] I’ll leave that up to him to show you all when they’re on his ride next season

I agree, I wouldn’t pic up the M-sports, and John, I really want to see those wheels on my car.

I’ll post progress pics of the buildup, as there is more going on than just the wheels.

OK, this group buy can be considered closed, even though nobody got any of the packages above i got a silly number of people who ordered wheel and tire combos via pm

i guess those of you who did post feedback here once you get them? haha

fail?
