Now, as far as black kids emulating rappers, I think its a sad sad thing. I love rap. Its raw, passionate, and unbridled. It also flies in the face of the moral majority, so that helps too. However, they cant be held accountable for the actions inspired by their music. But on the other hand, I do believe that the lifestyle they immortalize is having a drastically negative effect on urban youth. To sing about killing people and selling drugs is one thing, but actually doing it is another. Its a vicious cycle. And on a side note, if drugs were legalized, 99.9%of this street violence would disappear in a week. Almost all of this violence ties back to drugs/organized crime in one way or another. If it were legal, and people could buy their drugs legally in a store, it would immediately put all drug dealers out of business. No more drug dealers, no more drug related violence.
