HADA autocross - April 30th

So the season is starting up again. And again, there are plenty of prizes and giveaways to be given out at every event. The first one of the year is next Sunday April 30th at the Powerade Centre (Formally Brampton Center for Sports and Entertainment). Since the autocross school the day before filled up pretty quickly we’ve asked a number of the instructors to come to the Sunday event for ride-alongs and give feedback to anyone who asks or needs it. It’ll be gobs of fun. More information, directions etc can be found at:

Hope to see some 240s out representing…

Should be some 240s there for sure.

Thanks for the continued heads up!

Yep, there will be a good presence of 240’s there this sunday.

I’m looknig forward to it.

It’ll be great having you. For anyone who’s never seen an autocross before, here’s some vids from Ottawa’s Corel Center to give you an idea of what to expect. It’s a blast!

The Advantech guys did an awesome job putting these vids together.

on the pdf it says saturday april 29th at 830am powerade center. is that information correct or are there 2 days? are spectators welcome for saturday and sunday with no fee?

btw, great vids!

Good eye. April 29th is the Autocross school which has been booked solid since registration for it was opened. April 30th is the actually event that’s open to the public. Inside Track Motorsport News covers these events, so make sure your car looks pretty for the magazine if it makes it in.

Miles

thank you for the quick response!

i will be there on sunday to check it out

Already signed up!
It’ll be the Sentra though, not the Silvia.
And I’m a newb so please don’t expect good times

max, dont be weak [-X take the silvia

401 west, 410 north, get off on derry and go west (make a left), go north on Kennedy (make a right)

it’s on the right side of kennedy just north of the 407

And I’m a newb so please don’t expect good times

You’ll have a good time! That’s almost guaranteed.

On the event flyer link I believe there’s a google map - just click on Powerade Center under the list of dates. Here’s the link just in case:

Basically just take the 401 west to the 410, go north on the 410 and exit Derry. Go west on Derry (left) to Kennedy, then go North (Right). You’ll see it on the right about 5 minutes up Kennedy. Use the East entrance furthest south and drive around the building. Registration is from 8AM to 9:30.

The powerade center is JUST after the 407 on kennedy. (East side of the road) It’s a sports arena like building.

Kennedy is also the first right you can make after you get on Derry Rd frm the 410.

Those that went to the FIRST Driftnation exhibition have been there already.

The only person representing SON wasn’t driving a 240sx… boo to you all!

A few of us went, and yes, like nocwage says, not a single 240sx was particpating. :squint:

Hell, I didn’t even see any 240sx in the spectating parking lot.

It was a fun event nonetheless and I just might give it another shot with
the 240 in the next event. :wiggle:

nocwage: Feel like such a dumbass. Was looking for your car for most of the day and finally I find it on your last run I wasn’t carrying my helmet. Tried to scoop a loaner or borrow one but couldn’t do it. :frowning: Sorry dude. Anyway, glad to see you had a good time.

Pictures are being posted all over the place. Watch for an upcoming report in Inside Track covering the event. Here’s pix links:
