Everyone knows that the R-34 Skyline GTR is the king of all imports :bowdown. Tho technically its not an “import” if you cant import it
lol. The s2k is nice but I wouldn’t go so far as to call it the “king of imports.”
:haha
Comparing apples to watermelons there…lighter car than all the others on short course track makes trailbraking effect go up tenfold. EAsy to out corner cars like that. Put me in the SRF on that cours and with 130hp I’d probably smoke the viper too all the way up to the straights… Guy in Honda had it down failry good…blue viper braked WAY to early for that turn and too soon of an apex at that…shitty driver. Benny in his M3 would have passed the viper at that rate. :haha Guy in red viper shows you where and why torque, not HP, is important…
And comparing Honda torque to Mazda Rotary torque is negligible. Rotaries put out as much torque as a golfcart until you spin them above 8grand.
oh fucking please…that’s what i love about this website, you give people examples agaisnt what they say and they have more and more excuses…
Not excuses, just pure and simple physics.
Not to mention in the first post he made about the torque he was talking about accelerating out of a corner, and then you show him a video of some car (I didn’t watch) and he talks about trailbraking INTO a corner and driving skill. In his second post, he also CLEARLY states towards the end “Guy in red viper shows you where and why torque, not HP, is important…”
He’s pretty much stating that if you get the right driver, in the right car, possibilities become relatively endless.
like that picture of the miata in front of a few corvettes I believe, driver is definitly> car.
It’s because there’s more to it than that, champ.
He’s beating half the cars under braking/corner entry and the other half because they are off-line. Plus, a K20 Civic built to Honda Challenge (H1) rules has plenty of power.
and read what he fucking wrote:
“On circuit cars it’s torque that pulls it past the apex of each and every corner. Car could have tens of thousands into suspension tweaks and it doesn’t mean jack squat if you don’t have enough torque to drive it 10/10ths of the suspension/tire setup capability out of a corner.”
he is saying without torque, the car doesnt matter…i just posted a video that proved you dont need as much torque as the other guy. that civic was 1st place in that race…
but, now all you guys are giving a bs excuse oh well the car is lighter, bla bla bla…
Or you could bold the whole statement as it’s all equally important. He’s saying you need the torque to drive the car using 100% of it’s suspension and and tire setup, out of a corner. He does not say at all that if you don’t have torque, you’re worthless. Different cars require a different combination of driving and driver skill in order to execute a lap perfectly.
Excuses?, no excuses here. If you managed to take in my entire statement and understand it, it would have been pretty clear that I’m not making excuses. I’ll give credit to any car any time of the day when credit is due and the comparison is properly setup as I’m all about the underdog’s(Ie honda’s taking down vipers).
More like BS talk from people who don’t know squat about physics of a car or advanced racing techniques, let alone how to hold a proper course line at even 5/10ths :angry2
Did that gt35r s2000 run in the 8’s? Cuz I think theres vr4s in the 8’s…youre dumb.
