I am bustin my balls getting the jetta running… Tonight it should fire! If I pull an all nighter I might make it there. Prolly isnt smart taking a fresh motor to a dyno though! and I dont know how much driving I can do in the next 30 hrs to get it broken in.

you break it in the way your going to drive it…

I know more people that broke motors because they were sassys about breaking it in…then they started beating on them and they broke where as the others I know drove it right away how they were going to drive it and dont have a single problem.

The whole bussiness thing i understand man, and like I said if people dont come based on the price so be it… if they are smart enough which I think they are they will modify their deals accordingly. I also hear you on the whole who operates the car thing too, completely.

starbucks is around for a reason, they target an audience. If you want their coffee you will buy it, no matter the price. They target more upscale people, where as D&D is a lot lower scale… you cant argue that. When was the last time you drove through the ghetto and pulled into Starbucks? It is the same idea, people with money will pay more for a product IF THEY WANT TO even if they same end result is sold elsewhere.

And on the engine break in… I hear you all and thanks for the advise. Process will be, Warm up with regular oil/filter. Shut off and drain the junk. Fresh oil change with Lucas break in, and run it under heavy load, varied rpms, letting the motor slow the car after each pull… etc. That should do it.

do not use lucas ,shit is bad for a motor .use rotella 15-40 diesel oil instead :thumbup

the rotella still has it ,besides roller motors dont need it .im usin the rotella in mine

surely, i used it in mine originally, but theyve since changed the oil and removed the zinc from it to make it more " green" but by far still one of the best oils out there

yes rotella is a cj-4 rating now. no zinc. i just use/used additives where needed(the fleet trucks, my scoob, my 944’s, etc)

any race motor of mine, swepco 306 is my oil of choice.

i miss Kendal GT-1 diesel oil
