well, After 6 hours total…my Hooker long tube headers and Pace setter 3" Y pipe are on…overall, it was one of the easiest header installs I have ever done…pretty much everything was unbolt, bolt right up. Sounds great too…nice and quiet idle, and around 2500rpms it really opens up…while I was at it, I put in some champion iridium spark plugs.
is it faster?

girlfriend said it feels faster…I wasnt paying attention since I was driving but it seemed to burry the speedo a little quicker

true, i wish my 1.8l would make 450whp on only 20psi… ive seen a STOCK b16 make 405whp on 20psi/c12… they sure do suck

sounds like you have a lot easier time then i did, your lucky that you didnt have a whole bunch of emissions shit to take off of it, if i could do it all over again i wouldve bought an 01-02, just wasnt aware of the benefits.
only emissions thing I dont have is the EGR…I didnt block anything off. My headers are 100% Emission’s legal…my Y pipe on the other hand, isnt lol
No EGR? CEL? If so, good luck with inspection. Been there done that.
01-02 ls1’s dont have a EGR.

01-02 cars never had egr or a.i.r. as compared to the 98-00s, shouldnt have a problem at all passing inspection
No mine does have the A.I. R…On the driver side header and the passanger side.
i know a inspector that wont care ;D
