Hey Toyota people

My mom has a uber base version of a 94 tercel that didn’t come with a factory radio. i want to install an aftermarket unit in there for her birthday but i am not 100% sure that there is wiring already installed. Id really like to just get a wire harness adapter and toss it in with a few clicks, rig up some sort of antenna (like coat hanger in the antenna port or something for now) and toss in some speakers i have laying around hoping the factory speaker holes are prewired as well.

are my thoughts feasible??

usually on any car the wireing would be there, as it costs more to make a separate assembly line at the factory for cars to not have that part of harness installed. i would assume its there, i would just check to be sure, shouldnt take too much effort. pop off the inner door panels and look for the speaker holes/wiring and same in the dash location.

the radio harness should be back there, but i’m not 100% on if the speaker wire is run to the factory locations, so u might wanna check that first

it looks like i have to get up off my lazy rear and pop the radio blank plate and speaker covers tonight. i was hoping someone perhaps had some experiences with tercels without radios. thanks anywho!

lol i actually do and the harness is there it was on my 92, i ran a whole seperate wiring in mine any ways really simple. the panels come off on tercels stupid easy.

Yeah my 91 had the harness, prior owner just tapped into it. Like Joe said interior parts come of so fucking easy in that car.
