I’m sorry, but I beg to differ. I do not wear or promote Abercrombie clothing, and I am a college student. Honestly, thats one of the sterotypes that completely pisses me off nowadays. I have nothing against people who wear and own AnF stuff, I just dont the idea that EVERYONE is supposed to wear it. ALMOST as bad as Hollister. ALMOST.

Tomorrow A&F could 1.) fire you, or 2.) change their “look” to suit what they think is going to be the next big thing, or 3.) have their whole image ruined by some celebrity gone wrong. yea they’ve raised their prices ridiculously over like the past year…year and a half to the point where i dont shop there anymore. american eagle and hollister’s prices are fine for me, so ill shop there

i have a feeling this thread might get interesting when certain people see this
i like some of the A&F clothes, but i dont like a lot of what it represents. I also dont feel like paying 80$ for a pair of jeans that look like my dog mauled, if i want that look i will buy a pair of 30$ jeans, wear them to work for a month or so and have the same results. I think the clothes are way overpriced for what you get. thats just my .02 cents
but hey to each their own, whatever makes someone happy

its not a matter of racism it is just my personal preference hence i work there. i like the way the clothes look on me. i like the look and hence makes it my own preference.
My “view” of things are either you like the clothes or you don’t. I know they are not for everyone,but alot of people like us and what we have going. On the other hand there is a lot of people who do not and absolutly despise us.
Do i agree with everything we do. no not at all. i do not agree with the way we treat people who do not have the look. but those are the rules i must follow. not like i set them like you said. and the way we work or how we are claimed to work according to lifestyle is. abercrombie is for the younger children, Hollister is for high school students, Abercrombie & Fitch is for the college student and Ruehl is for the middle aged to older person styles.
thats is the way we are set up. so abercrombie and fitch’s direct line of who they target will not change at all. the clothes maybe but whom our specific company in general is trying to target will not.
as far as diveristy goes we are very diverse. we hire people from all walks of life. im not saying everyone wears what we sell but we are geared towards the college scene.
this is why i hate retail. trying to explain things of such.
