Toyota pays me and their jobs for techs are in high demand. I like GM’s too. No real opinion either way for me.
I didnt expect the pieces of paper to be an instant meal ticket, but I wanted them to get people to ignore my age and look at my productivity instead. Ive had my computer science degree since I was 21 and MBA since I was 22, plus a nice list of ignation scholar/national honor society/all-college honors - type recognition. But to middle management, Im usually too young, too smart, too productive, & too annoyed at dumb co-workers to hit it big. But if you kiss ass, hold conference calls, and write poorly worded emails with 40 people on the distribution, assistant VP here you come
It’s not just a Walmart thing anymore. EVERY company is pretty much forced to do this. America’s general public pretends to care so much about protecting jobs, and our way of life, but the bottom line is all they really care about is getting stuff cheaper/easier. Some of us here fully understand the impact that buying imported goods has on America. I will never buy an import car for this very reason. I understand that the Toyota Camry is an outstanding vehicle, and it’s extremely well-built. As long as there is a domestic alternative, I’ll choose domestic every time.
i hate to say it, but it seems like we are in an EXTREME downward spiral right now and i dont think we are going to recover anytime soon. i think we better enjoy our time on top because i dont think that its going to be like this for our children and definetly not our grandchildren.
