How do you ruin a good life? Shoot yourself in the thigh.

forgot Manningham, Boss, Johnson

no, I didn’t. I mentioned the WRs that will actually get playing time

manningham is young yet but talent wise i think hes better than moss by far… boss is starting tight end and johnson comes in when they run their 2 TE or “jumbo” package… so… manningham should at LEAST split time with moss to aid in his progression.

i totally disagree with that, it all about timing, luck, and the right opportunity, many athletes decide not to pursue a career in sports, many get hurt, many get caught up in gangs, die, there is so much mroe to it than just being good and making it to the pro’s. Theres thousands of people that have the same physical ability than plaxico that never played football, or never had the opportunity. He was lucky, and no way does he deserve his millions, no nfl player nor any other sport deserves that. We can only blame ourselves for him making that much because we watch the games on tv, we buy the tickets and the jerseys

blame YOURSELF, i have no problem with it at all. If they can make that kind of money playing a game, then so be it. If anyone thinks they can do it, Go to college, play the sport, and make millions, its just that easy…

whether you like him or not is a matter of opinion. but what you just said above falls right back onto what i said about HEART, GUTS AND DEDICATION TO WHAT YOURE DOING. if you arent dedicated you will let gangs or drugs take its place. if you have no guts, you will give into the temptation, rather than avoiding it and doing whats right. and if youve got no heart
you will also give up on your dream.

its not about if he deserves the money or not. what he did is wrong. hes aware, hes said hes his own worst enemy, and will take himself down by his actions. none of us have been in the spotlight or have dealt with the situations or the pressure hes under so we cant say “i would never do that” or “hes dumb”, “he should know better”… truth is, we are all human, and we screw up, some bigger than others, and some are in the social limelight when they do it… get up, get over it, move on, and learn from it.

who said it was that easy, but dont think that he deserves the money because he somehow a better athlete than other people, tons of people have natural athletic ability and do other things and dont make millions as pro athletes. I played college football and there were people playing that had less ability than people i played with in high school, its all about opportunity. Personally, the only thing i do is watch football, i dont buy jerseys, i dont go to the games. Now do i like or dislike him at all, i just think its wrong to say that an athlete is rare, anyone can make it if everything is setup right.

Manningham is a rookie that only has one reception on the year. How can you say he more talent than Moss? Guy hasn’t even played. Moss has been around for 3 years. I’m talking about the WR position, not sure why you brought up TEs. Johnson is NOT a receiving TE, he will not “step it up” and will not be expected to.

well i guess that if someone has the athletic ability to play in the nfl, but decides to work in a factory, or wal-mart its their fault. Not Plaxico Burress, he knew what he had to do, aong with everyone in the nfl to get to that level, and they did it.

simply they just let the fame get to their heads

NFL, so easy a cave man can do it

not necessarily, what if in college a coach favors someone else, there are so many situations. If you have ever played football at a competitive level such a college you could understand where i’m coming from, not everything is held in the palm of your hand

my girlfriend said he told the media that it slipped down his sweatpants and his penis unlocked the safety :nuts

thats why youve gotta do work, and make things happen. cant sit back and wait for obama hand outs. make the coaches notice you, go the extra mile, play harder, run faster. be early, leave late. and dont slack off in your studies. fail a test =ride the bench is usually the way it goes

your outcome in life IS held in the palm of your hand. It is not controlled by anyone else and anyone that thinks otherwise is just a whiny bitch that cannot take responsibility for their own actions. AND if a coach favored some other player then is was probably because they were BETTER

so if a guy gets hurt, and another player rises to the occasion and does pretty well, that is the fault of the player that got hurt? No, to many things come into play, like i said before, its hard to understand unless you have played at a high level of competition where everyone could start for the team.

ummm…yes

if the backup is better than the player that got hurt then yes it is that players fault for not being as good as his backup (ie: drew bledsoe and tom brady… it’s totally drews fault for not being as good and getting benched)

whats your experience in a high level of competition?

Please, life isn’t fair and far from everyone get do anything they want.
You can have all the heart and guts you want but if you’re 5’1" you’ll never be an NBA star.
There are plenty of things that aren’t up to you.

someone with some common sense

right because he agrees with you, and everyone should agree with you because you played college football, so we cant talk to you about football, because you know it all.
