I Love my wife..

So we are going to St. Martin next week for a vacation. We both have passports, but we got married in august of last year.

It was her job to change her name on everything, which she did… on everything OTHER then her passport…

So now she just told me this, and apparently its up to me to fix it now…

St. Martin only requires a birth cert. and current ID to gain entry, which she has… (http://www.sxm-airport.com/immigration.html)

But does anybody know if we are we going to get any hassle coming BACK into the states through JFK?..

she can have her passport (old name) Drivers license (new name) and marriage cert and birth certificate if need be

Name change rush fee is ~ 400 dollars…

Your not going on a cruise are you? If your just flying in you should be fine, its part of the US virgin islands correct? I will be there in April, cant wait.

i love my wife too, three cruises in less then a year, she really loves me.

Tell her she cant get back in to the United States and that she will have to hold down the fort. Take said vacation by yourself, find some hotties on the beach and enjoy your stay. WIN!

HA!

Wait, did you ask a question in all that ramble?

How many times are you going to say ST martin in one post?

It’s bothering me that you can’t just type it St. Martin.

Seriously though with all the supporting documents I don’t see it being much of a hassle.

:word:
Have one of your bros pay the name change fee and go for free. Hello wingman.

subtle bragging thread

sorry, was typing on my iphone while in the crapper here at work…

I bet all of this could be solved by calling around to place where you are going and/or the airline

Really?

Then there would be no reason/opportunity to let NYSpeed know that you ARE the man.

This is what we call the love/hate thread.

I know we can get into St. Martin per the website quoted above…

I called the passport hotline on the dept of state website and they basically said that she should have gotten it changed, and they cant tell us what JFK will do. (they were outsourced people it seemed reading off a script of what to say, they said they mainly just check passport application requests)

I called JFK but there wasnt anybody there that could help me it seemed

I would call the airline that you are flying on

They should know the regulations

Soooo…

… what you’re trying to find out here is information from someone’s wife, recently married, who has yet to change their passport, and has traveled to St. Martins recently. I’m sure a personal testimonial from said wife is exactly what you’ll find here.

nm

NO, just people who were recently married and didnt change their name on their passport coming back into the country through JFK
