Ok, I need to get a person address from there license plate, can I go to the DMV and request a copy or is there anywhere online i can do it free? Im not a stalker, i just want to buy this car from this person and this guy wont give me the number to the person that owns it.
lol…
You used to be able to but they changed the law years ago and you can’t do it anymore.
You need a cop to run it for you.
how about leaving a note on said car with your number?
If the car has a for sale sign on it, do so and im sure the seller will call you
How about posting the number?
Someone might be able to get the info for you.:snky:
Law enforcement have to have good a reason to run a plate because of privacy laws it gets funny these days lets say you werent a nice guy and were a stalker the cop that ran the plate could be sued for running the plate if something happened
No it dosent, I want this car that has been at this shop for over three weeks. I noticed it there everyday I would drive by it. I finally stoped by and asked what the deal is with that car that has been there for awhile. He said its this ladys car and she still has not got back to him about fixing it. He told the women that it would be $1,100 to fix so she hasnt got back to him in over three weeks. I am assumeing that she dosent want to $1,100 in to a 94 Honda civic, so I want to see if she will sell me the car instead. The owner of the shop asked me why I would want a car that hasnt ran in over a month, I said because its a honda silly and it wont cost me $1,100 to get her running again. O.K. so thats the story.
I know alot of cool ass cops in Buffalo, so I might ask one to run a plate for me.
^^ bingo, im sure he could relay the # without violating any laws
fucking christ people … he already said
i just want to buy this car from this person and this guy wont give me the number to the person that owns it.
Okay, now that you gave the full story, it’s not sketchy. But sorry, you’re original post REAKED of sketch. No details whatsoever.
Because he wants the money to fix it, the person who owns the car obviously dosent want the car fixed to bad. Like I said its a old civic 4-door that to her is probally not worth putting $1100 into at christmas time.
what about running a vin report? doesnt that show who it was previously registered to? or maybe if its not locked check the insurance card…
That doesnt have trouble written all over it does it…
well since no cop would just supply that information, the dmv wouldnt either, this is just a possible solution if the car was unlocked lol…
^ I might just ask one of his sons for the number instead. I dont know why everybody is making a big deal about this. If you want something then you have to go get it. This is how I got my last car, I seen it sitting there for a couple months and I went to the persons house for a couple of days with no luck, so I put my name and number on the windsheild and she finally called me back. She had no use for the car anymore so she sold it to me hella cheap. She was gonna take it to the junkyard. I figure I can do this lady a favor and throw her a couple hundred dollars instead of her junking it.
