File the claim asap if you do. That way there is less chance of him saying you installed it and broke it.

Problem Solved.
a t3/t4 CHRA (middle part) goes for cheap on ebay for a brand new one
You should be the blonde kid in your sig.
Sorry to offend you.
You have to know what you are doing when buying car parts off of ebay. You can seriously get shafted.Spending all that money from a seller with 3 feedback (1 negative) is very foolish imo.
Choices are either to :
1.Rebuild it,waste more money on it.
2.Re-Sell on ebay and take no loss.
3.Spend 6 months begging for a refund
I did a simple ebay search and spotted alot of reputable sellers with these turbo’s completely rebuilt for $350-$400.
I guess I just like to play it safe,if I was buying a turbo I wouldnt take any chances with something that could grenade and cost me even more money.
Sorry for making the suggestion, back to off topic I go.
not to be a dick, but what were you doing buying a turbo without doing any homework prior? you admit yourself you dont know shit about them…and what were you planning on doing with something you dont know shit about either? i’m assuming you would have somebody else install it, or throw together the setup for you, so why not have had that person help in the shopping too?
good luck regardless though, if you can get some money back and still keep the turbo, you’re almost better off with a rebuilt one though because at least that way you’ll be 100% positive that it’s in very good and newer working condition…
Well even tho u tried not to be, you are a dick. Maybe I lied a little bit about not know anything about turbo’s. I do, what I don’t know is how much shaft play would be acceptable in a case like this.

show me. I contacted the seller numourus times asking specific questions about the turbo. He simply lied to me.
LMAO
You sir, are an asshole. (and about as wrong as you could be).
:gtfo: kthx
If he planned on having someone do it for him, or knew absolutely nothing about the items involved, wouldn’t he just tell someone to buy the parts do the work and hand him a bill? Obviously hes not having someone else do everything for him and he wants an answer to a simple question. :cjerk:
yeah i have a stock wrx turbo with a little side to side play, i dont think it is going to effect the performance at all.
I don’t think I have met you…but I just read your review on some shop who sold you a shotty motor.
and then I see that some kid that blew thousands on a shotty nissan motor is ridiculing some kid who wasted a couple hundred on a turbo.
Just like how you bought that engine, without reading how about 3 people have gotten that swap you did…to work right?
mr kettle. meet mr black.
did christian help you shop for your motor?
My advice. See how much it would be for a rebuild. It might cost you $200…MAYBE.
If you re-sell it, and the new buyer decides to go after you for selling him a bad turbo…its going to be more of a headache for you, and more money if he wins.
:headbang: Beat me to it.
lol, like you knew anything about your twin turbo 300zx swap (“It will be a sinch!”) before you bought it.
EDIT: opps mr. beck beat me.
ha love it how even the mods are going so off topic here…wouldnt anybody with less power get banned for such straying from the original thread purpose? just curious…
and as a side note to kinda defend myself against you vultures, i paid my dues, made my mistakes, and took more shit than any of you can imagine along the way…i’ve earned the right to do the same to people making the same or similar mistakes now…so stfu…and i wasn’t even directly attacking him like i’m being attacked now, i was just going by what he said, that he didnt know shit about turbos, sorry if i read and took him seriously in what he said, if somebody doesnt know shit about turbos, he shouldn’t be buying them…that’s all i was saying, never once did i say i was perfect :bloated:
I looked at it today. The compressor wheel is scratched up like something went through the turbo during operation, the wheel has contacted the compressor housing, and the nuts on the ends of the shaft are rounded off like someone took them off with vice grips.
exactly what i had figured by looking at those pics. man that sucks…sorry to hear tour…
That sux. I can’t stand someone lying to screw someone else over. Too bad you can’t rip off that same douche-bag. The reason he has little to no feed back is probably because he changed account names to hide from previous bad feed-back.
Just to let everyone know, I won my claim thru paypal and I’m getting a full refund.
