The government has now decided that “Room and Board” money given to me by my school to supplement my ROTC scholarship is now considered taxable income.
WTF. Why are they taxing the wrong people? Normally I would understand that certain things should be taxed… but at a time when everyone is getting bailed out why would you take more money from not only a student, but students who are going into the service?

no pay raise… and the other for me is that I have to come in on Fridays which is weak. I liked working from home.
Got a raise, bonus, and 401k match.
I will see in April how it goes but we are still hiring and making money so I can’t imagine not seeing a raise or bonus.

I got laid off, and just recently called back.
we are probably the only machine shop in WNY who is doing well and posting growth rather than layoffs or closing shop. I’m sure that has alot to do with the lack of generosity from the boss. simple supply and demand. The number of American Axle employees alone who have applied over the last few months proves that to him. I just couldn’t make the money I do now anywhere else locally in the same industry.
just dropped, my 401k contributions to 0%, if they’re not going to match then I might as well just go IRA all the way for more flexibility (until I max out)

My company holds a Big BIG meeting in Cincinnati each year in August. Puts us all up in hotels in the heart of the city and has meetings all week and then a whole lot of food and entertainment.
They canceled it this year, but wont give exact reasons why. As far as I know raises and bonuses etc are still going to happen.
I got a raise, a bonus, and 100% 401k matching instead of previous 50%.
I just got a 3% raise. Inching up on 30k!!
I work in debt collections… jobs sucks. moneys good… we hired 2 new guys. high turn over rate.
1 new hire is in the hospital, work related 
People (in debt) are getting more and more aggressive… huge change in the 6 years I work there…
