**** Note that the class room part of the school was held on Jan. 28 and that the actual ice training has yet to be determined ****
Hi All NECC-ers(?),
If you are interested I was able to find out the following about the Northern Alberta Sports Car Club’s (NASCC) Ice Racing school:
- Cost for school (class and track) $60/person - use your own vehicle.
- Require a basic helmet for course.
- Class lessons start at 7pm Fri. Jan. 14 at the NASCC club office.
- Track lessons start at 9am Sat. Jan. 15 at Telford Lake, Leduc.
Note that you can take this course either with emphases as a winter driving school or as an ice racing introductory school. If you are willing to purchase the NASCC club membership $65/yr, this school will qualify you for for the first level racing licence at an additional cost of $45.
Also note that I was able to get a group buy for NECC card members (approx. 30 to 40% off MSRP) on helmets at Dix Performance - they own the JB automotive chain in Edmonton.
