As for the stretch tires, its for a different look, specially with wide wheels. Since the wheels are wide and the fenders are narrow it tucks up the sidewall to also prevent rubbing. its really just a vw thing.
yea i noticed everyone talking about mk4’s when its a mk3
but not all VW guys like stretched tires, i prefer larger side walls
