my vr4

well i’m trying to fit 18x10 and 18x12’s under it. currently i need to get new springs for up front to run the 10’s for how low i’m planning on. but for now they fit awesome out back, so i put my old racing hart 18x8’s up front to see how it looked. but next weekend i plan on attempting to tuck the 12’s out back. here’s what i’m left with for now

(i plan on getting a new exhaust soon so idc how much this old one scrapes for now haha making my own probably and will be tucked away as a single shot)

i’ve been working with another forum member on here, ollie. i’m painting his car this summer and he’s hooking me up with some wheels (not sure what i’m going with yet but we’ll see), so here’s his m3. stanceworks featured car just chilling in my yard, whatever haha

Nice car!!

Loving it.

If Ollie is in on this, you’re in the best hands locally.

Keep us updated!

i’ve already learned so much working with him. and i’m hoping for progress next weekend!

can’t wait to see this tucking the 12s.

why does it need a 12" wheel other then to look stupid with a tire that doesnt even fit the wheel?

because stancecar.

I guess im the only one that thinks stretched tires look completely retarted.

what ever happened to a Big tire, fitting a big wheel, fitting the car properly?

just saw your sig and may need some very mild fender rolling :popcorn

Looks awesome. 12" wide inside the fender is going to be ridiculous. Looking forward to see how you pull it off. ’

Original multi-piece C5’s!!?? :excited

They have their time and place.

In moderation they look great, however in recent years moderation is too bland and everyone is going for the extreme. Then they move on to a new venture as a community.

This cycle goes with every trend, JDM, body kits, etc. Even more muscle guys there are things like restoration that people take to an extreme, or gassers.

what ever happened to people doing what they like because thats what they like, oh wait that is what he is doing. the big tire fitment didn’t go anywhere, more people do that then stretched tires. stop acting like every car that is modified has stretched tires and is scraping the ground. let people do what they want to to cars and when you don’t like it you can just click the back button and go find some cars with some crazy wide slicks in the back to go fast down a 1/4 mile strip because thats what you enjoy.

thats what i’m here for :lol

haters gonna hate

thanks again for the fender roll this afternoon on my G. Hopefully I don’t have to have any more rolling. If I do though i’ll def hit you up.

I don’t get it either but to each their own.

I’ve never driven anything with stretched tires and crazy camber but I would think it would make for a very harsh ride and poor response?

I personally have streched tires and I’m not defending the look cause I agree to each their own… but I feel that “look” really hasn’t hit up here. I lived in Cali for a year and Va Beach for 4 years, and that is almost all you see in those areas. When I lived in Cali and Florida I feel in love with look of streched tires on dropped imports. Hence that is what I am doing to my G35 but I appreciate a fine body regardless of the make and model. And having streched tires w/ crazy camber does have a harsh ride but i guess you are sacraficing performance for looks.

and what ever happened to people posting their opinions? If he didnt want positive and negative feedback, threads like this wouldnt be made. I just to happened to be the first one coming out and saying I dont like that style. I asked a few questions because I just dont get it. I see threads pop up here weekly about someone stretching their tires or how to do it or something. I just dont get it I guess.

im going to go stretch some 145 series civic tires on my 11" wide wheels now.

had to add the civic bit lol lets not flame war this thread out please (in regards to everybody that is)

they came on the car when i got it back when i was 15. it only had 2 of em on there, and i have never been able to find another matching 2 wheels :frowning:
