You’d be supprised, the 47’s and 48’s hold up somewhat well till about 450hp, but that’s just what I’ve seen. On a side note I work at a Chrysler dealer so if u need dealer items just message me and ill see what I can do to help you out.
Spent some time doing the blower motor in the truck today since it’s just getting colder out & the whining doesn’t make it too enjoyable driving. Pulled the old motor & found all sorts of twigs, leaves & rocks in there. Sent that motor to the trash & install the new 1 my friend gave me with the truck. So nice having the heat crank & not hearing anything but the motor & the radio. Next up, new wheels & tires!
a friend of mine has a windshield for your truck if you need one 200 installed
Slowly making progress on the Green Machine. Got the new dash trim installed as well as the new cup holder. New tires are ordered from Discount Tire. Went with some 285 70 17 Cooper Discoverer ATP. Bought a mint set of 3rd gen wheels as well. Wheels & tires will go on this weekend. Lift kit is getting pulled out as well. Trying to decide on a hell bent 2 inch leveling or just a stock ride height.
Ive got the same size ATP’s on my truck. They seem like a pretty good tire so far but Ive only put around 5k on them.
i had the coopers on my truck… they didn’t last 25k, junk in my opinion!
That’s what I got out of my Bridgestone Duelers
maybe they don’t make a good set of tires any more but my nittos are looking good they still look brand new at 10k!
Which nittos did you go with?
trail grappler mt they are awesome so far with very little road noise
got the same ones, love em!
Nice, thinking of going with terra grapplers myself.
This is my favorite body style of all the pick-ups north of the 90s to present. Definitely a looker.
Anyone interested in the wheels & tires that came on the truck?
Finally got to do some stuff with & to the truck. Tested it out towing last week & very pleased. Definitely tows a lot nicer than my Silverado did. Dropped the truck off at B&H Auto to get the lift pulled out & get it down on the 3rd gen rims. Haven’t driven the truck too much to tell but just driving home I was much happier with the ride quality & the truck seems a little happier spinning 285 70s instead of the 35x12.5s it had on it. Ordering a FASS DDRP tonight & then hopefully I can order some side steps once my tax return comes. Some pics:
I had the old wheels/tires, a few MK3 body parts & 250lbs of sand in the truck in that pic, since pulling the wheels out she’s raised up a bit. More than likely going to put a inch block in the rear to level it out nicely.
