I was a teenager in the late sixties/early seventies (lol I’m old). Anyway, I lived in a small town and everyone had high performance cars (cept me). Just a few: a 69 Yenko Camaro, 66 Vette (427/390), 70 Boss 302, 70 Torino 429 super cobra jet (prolly the baddest of em all), 69 Chevelle SS396, Roadrunners, GTX’s, Challenger, GTO’s. The point is, these cars were brutal. I mean I know today’s technology makes horsepower, but back then it was brute force, the bigger the better. No smartness involved like today’s cars. And the cops didn’t hassle anyone, slap on the wrist kida stuff. Those were truly the best years of my life. And I did ride in all of those cars. Earth shaking power! Anyone else grow up around that time?
