Injectors ( whats interchangable )

Anyone have links to see what’s interchangable between ford,gm,mopar etc.

what do u need? how many lb injectors, and what impedance? lastly how many.

to many variables for “interchange”, but most domestic and foreign injectors are compatible in the sense that they will fit the fuel rail provided ur not dumb enough to try and fit side feed injectors in a top feed rail and vice versa.

electrical wise, all use a “L” jet connector since the mid 70’s iirc. prior to that, they used a “d” jet connector. only oddballs i know conenctor wise are some jap companies in the 80’s early 90’s who used oval connectors instead of the traditional square “L” connector. nissan comes to mind on that.

impedance, ur either high or low, unless ur a porsche 944 then ur middle. but if u got a porsche 944-- then i feel bad that u paid all that money for a vw/porsche parts bin leftover car and u deserve to have soemthing unique to the 944 only so u can talk to ur golf buddies about how rare ur injectors on ur porsche are.

figure 3 types of spray patterns-- pintle, disc, ball. all get eth same type of fuel, but the different style of spray affects the car differently. the ball setup is what msd injectors have-- good for fuel atomization. the pintle si most common. the disc style is similar to pintle, but instead of a needle, there is a disc w/ holes in it. fuel goes through the hole for the spray pattern.

if ur looking for 50+ lb injectors oem, the only oem ones i can think of are dodge. they are cheap too for a set of 4, like under 150 bucks new. was a vw junkyard turbo setup injector of choice there for a while…

saab has a few mid 30 to 40 lb oem injectors, and vw has a few 20 to 30 lb range… dsm turbo are 42lbs (440/10.6= 41.xxxx). most all motor cars are 15 to high 20’s max range that i can think of.
