So yeah, I’m going back to buffalo this weekend, and the original place I ordered my SS brake lines through was taking forever, then eventually cancelled my order after a week. So here I am, needing my brake lines so I can get my car into my buddy’s shop - I call everywhere, and no one has them. I have people telling me that 1g DSM AWD brake lines work, I have people also telling me no, they don’t. So I went the safe route and bought the one specifically for the Galant (8 lines).
Thus bringing me to my situation. 4PM rolls around on monday, and I’m still scrambling to find a local place to get brake lines. I called Mike to confirm our tunning (spelled that way on purpose, you freaks) appt this weekend. I ask Jay how quickly he can get SS brake lines. A prompt call back brings bad news : “They have to make them for you, and they go out when they are done.”
After a couple more calls to Dezod (who by the way also did a lot of digging for me) and a couple other distributors, I was shit out of luck. It was either spend a shit ton of money and buy stoptech SS lines which wouldn’t have gotten here until Weds (today), or have these lines made from scratch and get them today as well, and save a little cash. No one local-ish could drop ship to me next day, because it was past 4PM already… and shipping from CA for the stop techs would have been a 1/2 a set of brake lines itself.
So - I call Jay back, who has about had it up to here (points at neck) with me because I keep calling and asking questions and bitching, and I order them. This was at about 4:35ish…
Fast foward, next day. I’m sitting at my desk getting EMC e-mails telling me a drive in our RAID array is dead or has been removed, while eating my Ma Po Tofu over rice, and the delivery guy drops me a box. Fucking 12:11PM on TUESDAY. Less than 24 hours since the order was placed.
Tee to the MOTHER FUCKING up to this SS brake line guys, and to Innovative for dealing with my BS, and STILL being able to get the brake lines out here in NYC in UNDER 24 hours.
