I’ve custom tuned a number of Evo 8’s now on the stock ecu, and the ability to tune 9’s was recently added to the software.
On both this gives me access to:
Fuel Maps
Timing Maps
Rev Limiter
2 step launch control
Injector Scaling
Boost Control
Boost Cut
Idle Control
and MORE!
On the 9 I also have access to the variable cam timing maps.
So far my customers and I have been very pleased with the power increase they get on my custom flashes versus a tuned flash let alone an untuned ECU. There’s a lot of room for extra power here. They’ve also all said the car drives smoother than before.
I’m doing base flashes for most setups for 50 bucks (this only takes a few minutes) and a custom flash for most setups is 130-195 depending on the time it takes to dial your setup in. There is absolutely nothing else that gives you gains in power and drivability like this at even twice the price.
Give us a call or e-mail to make an appointment. The stock ECU does have its limits, so if you’re planning a thorough build I may recommend running a standalone instead, but for those running basic bolt ons with moderately sized injectors and cams the custom reflash works GREAT!
