My name is Nick and I live in schenectady (basicly colonie) and I am 22. I have been around for quite some time and many of you may recall my old Ford probe GT’s. I am currenty working on/driving a 2001 Audi S4 with some decent mods ;D and I have a 2006 Yamaha R6.
I don’t trust the dyno’s accuracy. I wouldn’t compare it to other M3 dyno’s on Mustang or Dyno Dynamics. I’d guess more like 215WTQ and 225WHP. If you ever go to dyno again, let me know and I’ll go with you to compare. At 5k RPM the crappy Dinan software was dumping fuel for a 10.9 AFR. I had to lose power from that!
For power mods, I’ve got an M50 intake mani, Stromung catback, Cosmos CAI, Dinan SW. The JBR lightweight flywheel helps in the lower gears, but not on the dyno really.
The car is substantially faster than a stock M3, and a lot faster than a 540 automatic on the highway. I would guess are cars are pretty similar, but I’d have a weight advantage. I weigh 155 lbs, with light Recaro SRD’s.
There’s a dyno day through r-speed early this spring, i might get dynoed, might not…ihavent made any performance changes, if i do ill have it dynoed, but you can read more about it on r-speed.org
Ya know that guy Techno550 on bf.c? runs The Racer’s Market? HE has new software coming out for our setup…should be good shit, he tuned an m50 to 200whp with just an intake and custom exhaust…so i can only hope what he might be able to free up with our cars, price point will be around $250…same as most software…
shit…but its obd1 only afaik…like obd1 dme…you could totally switch in a 413 until inspection time :nod
