…or is The Colbert Report played out already? The Daily Show is consistently funny, but The Colbert Report seems like a funny idea for a special or a one-shot, but it can’t sustain a series.

it’s the SNL theory… you’re funny for 5 minutes, not two hours… but when the money comes maybe you’re the one comedian that can run with it…
