i finally found a site that will paint my engine plastics the same color as my truck(about time), anyway, what is the typical power increase by adding them. and are they worth it?

Yeah a banana yellow is more like 7HP. McDonalds Yellow/Ford Screaming Yellow is like 15. Just pick a good shade.
