Why not? If X% of people unemployed are White and X% of People are Black, then it’s just the stats for those demographics. But that ties in with the statement below. Are they unemployed because they’re black? No. They are unemployed and happen to be black. I also agree that some people are unemployed to to acceptable reasons. That is another topic though.
