They don’t get paid shit if they die…just saying. I know most of us would look elsewhere if your boss said you might get a paycheck or you might die while at work.

Now they want to hire people to sit in the school that kids can talk to when they get bullied. Just what we need! We cant afford to even pay the teachers as it is. This is being blown way the fuck out of proportion. A weak minded individual took the pussy way out. End of story. Also, +1 to soldiers not getting the attention they deserve.
No soldiers don’t get the attention they deserve. It’s not fair.
But it makes sense to me that a bullied kid ending it gets more play in the media. We’ve all been through grade school. We’ve all at least felt out of place and rejected, if not downright unhappy and worthless at some point from bullying or general teenage douchbaggery. Most of us have been lucky enough to never have been in the military or gone to a foreign country to fight.
It’s only natural that more people can relate to this kid than can relate to a soldier. That doesn’t make it right or fair. His death is no more tragic than a soldiers (probably less if you want to really get objectivist) But that’s how it is.

I’d really like to know if this is true, because if it is it’s a huge fail by the media for not uncovering it. The kid has been bullied for years, but 2 days after he finds out his parents are getting a divorce he hangs himself in the family backyard? But yeah, lets use his death to pass new laws and hire bullying counselors for every school in the country.
Is that even possible? A gay bully? I’ve not bothered collecting statistics but I’m willing to bet that most the bully driven suicides are gay people and most the bully driven murders are committed by straight people. Perhaps that could prove there is a chemical difference in gay vs. straight?

Yes, I too would like to know if the divorce thing is true. I was bullyed for years and was depressed at times I guess. The last thing I would have needed was for my parents to say they are spliting up

Imagine it was your child born with something that was a source of torment in school or even if they were gay/lesbian. Clearly something you can’t control and I bet you wouldn’t be telling your kid he/she sucks at life and deserves to get their ass kicked. I’d be glad if measures were taken to control bullying in school so when I have kids I won’t have to worry as todays parents do
Or just teach your kids to be strong. I’ve never been picked on. I am pretty sure that 95% of my actual friends, or people that know me are scared of me. Don’t act weak and you won’t get picked on.
My brother is 10 and is a blackbelt in TKD (completely useless) but that still scares other kids.
If the parent is weak, the kid will usually be weaker . If the parent is strong, the kid will usually be stronger. Not 100% true all of the time obviously due to personality defects and outside influences, but it’s not like people do not possess the ability to be strong. They just have to find it within.
